Attitude Drives Actions – Actions Drives Results!

Christian Klacko : May 23, 2012 6:00 pm : news

If you want to lead a great life, you have to take great actions. The best way to prepare you to take great actions
is to practice having a great attitude. Say “YES” everyday to prepare yourself for Victory and most importantly DO
step out of your comfort zone! Imagine every time you entered the Dojang, you said “YES” to stepping out of your comfort
zone and giving your absolute best! Every time you step on the mat, you said “Yes, I will demonstrate performance level”
Every time you finished class, you said “Yes, I gave my best today”. You would soon develop a habit that leads to becoming
a highly conditioned Black Belt Leader & Champion.

Habits we Train are Habits we Gain! Anything you do repeatedly becomes habit. Good or bad. Black Belt Leaders & Champions
know that they must train their brain every day. This is why you must condition your attitude everyday for making it a great
day. Stated differently, you always get what you focus on. Think how much better you would be at everything you do, if you
trained yourself to have a great attitude toward life and learning…every day! Practice being more respectful, you become
more respected. Practice looking for the good in others, you begin to attract more of what you look for. You also get more
people looking at the good in you! Practice smiling more and you will see more people smiling back.
Remember, to receive…you must give first.

Here are some Black Belt Attitude Tips for daily development of a positive attitude:

  • Wake up every day and say “YES” today is a great day!
  • Be the first to offer praise and compliment.
  • Always look for the good in yourself and others.
  • Think of what you DO want in life, not what you DON’T!
  • Always be happy and grateful for what you DO have.
  • Take massive action and revel in your accomplishments and those of others.

Black Belt Leaders & Champions have Discipline!

Christian Klacko : April 25, 2012 6:00 pm : news

Black Belt Leaders & Champions strive to be their best in every area of life. To become the best you can be in your Tang Soo Do, at the Dojang, at home, and in your personal and professional life, you must have discipline in your habits, actions & attitudes!

  • Average people wish for great things in life, but often lack the discipline to set and get specific goals to actually achieve their dreams and desires – Champions set specific goals for their future and they have the discipline to develop and follow an action plan to achieve them.
  • Average people tend to give their minimum, hope for success, but are often satisfied with and willing to accept mediocre results – Champions strive for Excellence and discipline themselves to give their maximum effort and energy to achieve greatness.
  • Average people tend to procrastinate on taking action and are quick to make excuses for not getting started on their objectives – Champions never wait, they always create, they are disciplined to take the right actions that will lead them in the direction of their dreams.
  • Average people are usually quick to give up and quit, they develop a habit of starting and stopping, but never finishing – Champions are disciplined to persevere and stick to it until they do it, they develop a Non-Quitting Spirit!

The message is simple, anybody can be average, its’ easy to live and accept a mediocre lifestyle. To live life as a Black Belt Leader & Champion, you must be eager to give your best and develop the “Habit of Discipline” in every area. It’s one of the fundamentals that leads to a better lifestyle for all.

The Better we Prepare, the Better we Perform!

Christian Klacko : February 23, 2012 7:00 pm : news

Nothing earth shattering about that statement, but a great reminder of the 5 P’s:

  • Proper Preparation & Planning Promotes Peak Performance.
  • Proper Preparation & Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

Either way you look at it, there are 6 P’s and it’s a great reminder to all of us. The better you prepare for your upcoming week, the better you and your team will perform. The better you prepare your students for their upcoming progress check/gup or dan test, the better they will perform and the better you and they will look. Everyone wins when everyone is well prepared!

Lack of preparation always leads to poor performance and a poor mental state of mind. It may be a lack of confidence, lack of commitment or a lack of enthusiasm, all avoidable with greater preparation and planning.
