Train Your Brain!

February 19th, 2011

One of the most effective ways to condition yourself for success and achievement is to constantly feed your mind with positive thoughts, ideas and goals. Train your brain is all about conditioning yourself for high level success and achievement. It is also about reaching a higher level of conscious awareness.

There are many ways to accomplish this. It can be done by reading, listening or watching inspirational and educational materials. You can accomplish it by modeling other successful achievers, networking and attending seminars. The best way to do it, however, is to visualize your success in advance. Run a movie in your own mind of you doing what you want to do successfully. In Tang Soo Do, we call this Mu Sang which is to record and visualize. You must see it before you believe it!

It’s been proven that the more good you put in, the more good will come out. You are programming a computer. In this case, it is the most powerful computer on earth: your brain! If you constantly allow garbage to go into your mind and body, you better be ready to deal with the garbage that is going to come out. Positive input, combined with positive self-talk and affirmations, will keep you motivated and inspire you to take massive action toward your goals.

Leaders & Champions in sports, business & the Martial Arts frequently use these powerful tools to prepare themselves for Peak Performance. For most people, one of the biggest enemies to success is their own limited thinking and the feeling that they’re not good enough. Some people even put themselves down and fill their mind with fears, uncertainties and doubt. This can be very damaging to your desire and motivation to succeed. The more you fill your mind with positive thoughts, ideas and goals, the greater your self esteem and confidence will become.

Experts say it takes 21 days to develop a new habit. Take the next three weeks to fill your mind with nothing but positive thoughts and ideas…No negatives, all positives! Every time you have the urge to say something negative, bite your tongue as a way to remember the pain you cause yourself by thinking, speaking, and acting in a negative way. Repeat positive affirmations and quotes to yourself, over and over again, you’ll be amazed and impressed with the results. Just like our physical muscles, we can build our mental muscles by exercising them.

Think, act and train like a Black Belt Leader and Champion & soon you’ll be one!
