Dear students,
It is with sadness that I share with you the news that Grandmaster Byrne passed away last Tuesday. He was a great martial artist. As the head of the American Tang Soo Do Association, Grandmaster Byrne was my instructor for 5 years. Many of you who were at Cambridge Tang So Do while we were part of the ATA (2003-2008) had the privilege of training under him. Even though he is gone, his memory and legacy will remain strong.
For those of you who do not know, one of my other instructors, Grandmaster Shin of the World Tang Soo Do Association, also passed away last month after a difficult battle with cancer.
Our condolences extend to our fellow martial artists at the ATA and WTSDA and to the families of these two great martial artists during this difficult time.
