Studies on human potential show that most people are performing at a fraction of their true potential. If this is accurate, it means that we all have a tremendous opportunity to improve ourselves and enjoy even greater levels of happiness, success and achievement. If you set a goal to improve your thinking for example, there are many ways you can make it happen. First, you could decide in advance (DIA) to use structured thinking to get better bang for your buck. Doing this, would allow you to:
- Eliminate or use procrastination
- Set the right intention
- Discover your true life purpose
- Create a desired outcome effortlessly
- Find true happiness
- Help heal yourself and others from the heart and mind
- Discover yourself, know yourself, and master yourself
Using structured thinking you could also improve your programming and overall effectiveness. Through experience of teaching and training thousands of students over the past 30+ years, I know this is a very attainable goal. The key is to learn to maximize the time and effort you are currently dedicating to each of these areas. Once you’ve committed mentally, the rest comes down to syntax, repetition, and permanence. The key however is to take immediate action. Remember, it is not more information but rather more application! It is through “doing” that you increase your return on investment (ROI). Learning to take time to reflect and being honest about the gap between your current “knowing” and “doing” will have a very powerful and positive impact on everything you do for the rest of your life.
What are some ways you could better maximize your time today? What can you do today that you have never done before?
Let’s say you are starting your day. Setting the right intention and taking proper aim like a Zen archer would be a good starting point. Deciding in advance what you want and desire is part of this. Being mindful of your every action would be step number two. Taking time to reflect on your gap and deciding in advance to be happy while taking the journey would be step number three. Looking for opportunities to serve others is certainly on the list.
